Old timer LuvMe SomeQponers know where I started with my weight…but let me remind you all and show the newcomers that I just do not throw up health tips…I live by them! I have always been a small person throughout my teenage life, adult life/military life. Once I left the Army, I simply became comfortable and allowed myself to gain a few extra pounds that did not bother me. I was married, had a child and my focus was on family..not weight. Plus I was married to someone who was not an active/gym rat person, despite being military as well. My breaking point came after giving birth to my daughter in 2006. I gained 100 pounds with Rylie and weighed 280 pounds (size 22). In 2009, I said ENOUGH and I started my healthy lifestyle. I cleared the house of all temptations, including putting the family on a timeout until I was able to get my mind focused. This took about a week or two and then I was able to stay focused as I needed this..not a want to lose, but a need to lose as I was not comfortable in my own skin. I started working out 2.5 hours each day with a trainer or by myself in the gym, gave up all processed foods and any other unhealthy foods/drinks.
Since reaching my goal weight in 2010, I only gained back maybe 10-15 pounds. I will admit, I have not worked out since 2015 due to having a bunch of foolishness stress going on right now regarding my divorce, BOOK COMING SOON and trying to find a balance with work, school and being a bonus mom, but overall I have maintained my weight for the most part. I plan to get back active this summer and drop these few unwanted pounds that I gained.
I currently wear a size 8 bottoms and Medium tops. I am at my goal size in clothing but not satisfied with the scale. The scale will always be the evil friend to a person wanting to drop a few pounds. lol Now don’t get me wrong, I treat myself to certain foods from time to time but only do it in moderation. Even though I do not work out, at this time, I still pretty much eat healthy and I get my share of 150+ ounces of water daily. I still juice and plan to hit it hard this summer. (check the Facebook page for recipes) I love to make a green smoothies here and there but I try to eat clean as often as possible. (sometimes..lol) I am not a Pork eater and have not ate pork in many of years. I stopped eating Red Meats in 2009 and partake in sweets every once in a blue moon, but that also depends on my moods. Sodas have been eliminated out of my thought since 2009 as well. I only drink Water, Juice and Herbal Teas.
I have done the 10-Day Green Smoothie Cleanse and loss 10 pounds in 10 days and I highly recommend this to anyone wanted to get started to a healthy life. You can CLICK HERE to order your book and jump start your Green Smoothie life! This book is not a crash diet, it is steps to begin a Green Smoothie Lifestyle. Either way is very easy to incorporate into your life and if you are dedication to the process, you will see results!
Overall in order to get started you have to make up your mind, eliminate all bad things and focus. Keep praying and asking God for strength and stay obedient to the journey! When I decided I tossed everything in the house that wasn’t on my menu. I put the entire family on a time-out until I was able to get my mind together. It only took me about a week or two and then they were back to their junk. Once my mind was set, I was able to cook their dinner and make my dinner without wanting, tasting theirs.
